Looking for a day camp where your child can deeply immerse him or herself in old-fashioned play outdoors like you might remember from your childhood?

Building stick forts, swinging from tree swings, going on creek walks, “bartering” with leaves and sticks, making mud pies, rolling down hills?

This is play the TimberNook way!  TimberNook Bay Area day camps foster children’s imagination, creativity, and independent play in the great outdoors. Unstructured free play is incorporated into every day along with individual and group play experiences that are especially designed to be motivating and FUN for children.

Our summer 2017 location is at the Willows picnic site in beautiful Tilden Regional Park.   Camp will only run for 6 weeks from June 19-July 28, with 3 weeks for 4-7 year olds and 3 weeks for 7-10 year olds.

Our camps are run by experienced pediatric occupational therapists and educators with expertise in child development, with counselors who are graduate students.  We have a very low staff-to-camper ratio of 1:5.

Trackers Earth (Berkeley & Walnut Creek)

TextSpace Bar A-Z L Holder TrackersEarth

Trackers day camps are mobile adventures that meet at one of our three drop-off sites, then transport to the best parks and green spaces.  Themes include archery, survival, live action role-playing, fishing, homesteading, and more for children in pre-K through 9th grades.  The youngest campers learn the beginnings of these new and fun skills.

Trackers campers return time and again to make new friends through fantastic, shared adventures.

We choose our camp staff through intensive interviews and background checks.  Expert instructors teach authentic skills.  Our priority:  care for your child.  Trackers sets the standard of safety for outdoor camps in California and beyond.

Hours:  8am to 4pm, after care available to 6pm.

Is your older camper ready for an overnight experience?  Our unique California Coast Adventure spends 11 days/10 nights exploring beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore.  Trackers mentors guide campers through verdant forests, down beach-front trails, to lively tide pools, delving into tracking, coastal foraging, plant ID, emergency preparedness, and more.

We offer additional options for summer in our Oregon camps.

Come Explore With Us!
Enrollment is currently open at Urban Adventure Camps, a unique week long day camp for children ages 8-15.

Camp begins each morning when campers meet their group and start their day’s adventure.  Groups take daily field trips to visit the Bay Area’s best activities, museums, parks, galleries, and urban attractions.  Public transportation is used to travel between locations, thereby developing the campers’ independence, awareness and confidence when traveling within a city.

Sessions focus on one of the following subject themes:  physical science, natural science, art, history, active, culinary or art active.  Camp builds teamwork, friendship and knowledge while having a fun and unforgettable adventure.

Weekly sessions run from June thru August 8AM to 4PM for camper 8-15 years old.  Programs leave from Rockridge, Fruitvale, Castro Valley, North Berkeley, and Lafayette BART stations.
