Social Media Boot Camp

Few of us can escape social media, most of us have tried it and many of us can’t live without it.  In the right hands, it can expand our social networks, advance our careers, help our organizations grow and be a megaphone for nonprofits to reach their communities.

Suzanne Frew, a specialist in social media communications for community leaders, will conduct this session.

By the conclusion of this workshop:  participants will understand the challenges and trends of social media, know how to use social media platforms and applications, understand the basics of message development and online outreach, and have practical knowledge on how to best use use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

To ensure individualized instruction and hands-on training:  the workshop is limited to 20 persons.  Participants must have open accounts for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and bring their own laptop or tablet.  If you don’t yet have these accounts, come at 8:30am to set yours up.

Time:     9:00 AM – 4PM  (with a lunch break from Noon to 1pm)
Cost:      $60 for two 3-hour sessions, with a continental breakfast and buffet lunch included.
