Discover, Play & Act Shakespeare’s Works!

Shakespeare Campers benefit from an atmosphere of creativity, heightened literacy, and self-expression.  Camps are designed to welcome those new to the stage as well as experienced performers.

Our camps also feature ample opportunities for swordplay and stage combat, theatre games, and costume and set designing.

Each camp finishes with a mini performance of a Shakespeare play, staged and acted by campers for an audience of family and friends. This summer campers ages 7-13 will stage performances of ‘Pyramus and Thisbe’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Comedy of Errors’; ages 12-18 will stage ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’. Scripts, materials and supplies are all included!

Camps are conveniently located in Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the South Bay.  They meet for 2-weeks, weekdays, 9am-3pm with aftercare available until 5:30 and are led by trained theater professionals.

Experience is welcome but not required to get into the act and have fun with your friends!  Need-based scholarship assistance is available.

Join us for our 26th season and find out what keeps Shakespeare Campers returning year after year!
