Reel Stories believes that when women *and girls* are better represented behind the scenes in the media, they will be better reflected on screen. Reel Stories is a non-profit organization that empowers 12-18 year old young women with the skills to create their own media, to view current media critically and thoughtfully, and to aspire to leadership in their field.
During our summer programs, our filmmakers work in small, collaborative groups to write, shoot, edit, and broadcast their own short films. At the end of each session, these female filmmakers debut their work in a film festival at a local theater open to the public.
Reel Stories is the only female owned & run non-profit media program in the country led by professionals. Join us this summer to show the world your stories. [Your audience is waiting!]
