Our fun themed camps for little ones explore a different classical ballet each week and include Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake.

Discover, Play & Act Shakespeare’s Works!

Shakespeare Campers benefit from an atmosphere of creativity, heightened literacy, and self-expression. Camps are designed to welcome those new to the stage as well as experienced performers.

Our camps feature ample opportunities for swordplay and stage combat, theatre games, and costume and set designing. Campers also learn about Shakespeare’s poetic language and develop the skills to understand and perform it! Each camp finishes with an abridged Shakespeare play, staged and acted by campers for an audience of family and friends. This summer campers ages 7-13 will stage performances of “The Witches Brew”, “Macbeth”, and “The Merry Wives of Windsor”. Campers ages 12-18 will perform in “King Lear”. Scripts, materials and supplies are all included.

Camps are conveniently located in Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the South Bay and are led by trained theater professionals. They meet for 2-weeks, weekdays, 9am-3pm with aftercare available until 5:30. Early drop-off starts at 8:30 am. Need-based scholarship assistance is available.

Cazadero Music Camp provides a nurturing, inspirational environment for young musicians ages 10-18. For more than 60 years, Cazadero has offered a dynamic music education program that strikes a thoughtful balance between in-depth music education and carefree summer camp fun.

Cazadero is set on 33 acres near the Russian River in Sonoma County where young musicians learn together under a canopy of spectacular redwood trees.
We have 5 camp sessions that are arranged progressively in age (5th – 12th grade) and ability. Musical offerings include Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Piano, and Guitar. Each week renowned conductors from all over California and the world arrive to work with our campers, giving them an experience of a lifetime.

Campers will also have a choice of musical and non-musical electives that may include jazz improvisation, chamber music, art & crafts, nature, or sports.

Doug’s Drama and Cole Dance will once again be offering 1 and 2 week camps at Montclair School in Oakland. We have sessions for students entering grades TK-8.

Our drama camp is led by long time Oakland drama teacher and storyteller Doug Cole, and our dance program in run by popular Oakland dancer/drummer and hip-hop artist Andre Cole.

Two week session begin at $700 and one week sessions begin at $350. Extended care from 8-6.

Our upcoming camps as as follows:

1. Original Universe Theme– June 1-5, 2020
Campers will create original characters from scratch and pull them together in a storyline with original music to create the show for the week.

2. Movie Mashup Theme- June 15-19, 2020
Campers will become characters from their favorite movies and put them together, all mixed up, in a story with music and dance to create the show for the week.

3. Fantasy Adventure Theme- July 13-17, 2020
Campers will create new characters from the fantasy realm with wizards, dragons, elves and the like and pull them together in a storyline with music and dance to create the show for the week.

4. Mixed Up Story: July 27-31, 2020
Characters in our play will be characters from books, folklore, plays, movies or any other medium. Campers become their favorite characters from their most valued stories and put them together, all mixed up, in a story with music and dance to create the show for the week.
